Oceanside Thrift Store Brother Benno's In Need of Donations

Donations can be made Monday thru Saturday at the white truck outside the shop during store hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

As it tries to provide goods and clothing for Oceanside's seven local homeless shelters, Brother Benno's thrift store, which opened in March on 3955 Mission Ave. has found itself needing inventory.

According to U-T San Diego, only one pallet of clothing remains in the stockroom, and store owners are urging Oceanside residents to clean out their closets in home of getting more donations.

Donations can be made Monday thru Saturday at the white truck outside the shop during store hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The store also sells a variety of household items, sporting goods, books and movies, and antique jewelry and furniture.

According to the paper, Brother Benno's is best known for its soup kitchen at 3260 Production Ave., which feeds people Monday thru Saturday, and has for more than 30 years.
