• Victim in fatal crash identified (ojaivalleynews.com) — A 23-year-old Ojai resident was killed early Friday when his SUV crashed off Fairview Road in Ojai, leaving one passenger with major injuries and another with minor injuries. Authorities say all occupants wore seatbelts, and the death was ruled accidental while investigators still work to determine whether alcohol or drugs were involved. Anyone who saw the crash is urged to contact CHP Ventura. 
• Southern California under a wind advisory from Tuesday to Thursday (sacbee.com) — Strong south to southeast winds are forecast for Ojai Valley and nearby Ventura County areas from Tuesday noon through Thursday afternoon, with gusts up to 55 mph possible. Residents should secure loose outdoor items, prepare for difficult driving—especially for high-profile vehicles—and watch for downed trees and power lines given already saturated soils. Officials also outline how to stay safe before, during, and after high winds.
