18-Year-Old Man Killed In Downtown Santa Ana Shooting

The man was shot to death while at a nightclub on Saturday night, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

SANTA ANA, CA — An 18-year-old man from Moreno Valley was shot dead Saturday night outside of a downtown Santa Ana nightclub, police said.

Although the motive and suspect are unknown, authorities believe the shooting to be gang-related. An arrest has not been made yet in connection to the shooting.

Officers with the Santa Ana Police Department found the body of Zion Gonzalez in the 300 block of West 5th Street around 10:40 p.m. Gonzalez had several gunshot wounds on his upper body, the department said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
