40MPH Gusts, Showers And Cold Weather Hitting Orange County This Week
Orange County residents can expect brisk winds, cold weather and a chance of rain showers this week as wintry weather returns to the region.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Orange County residents, prepare for the return of wintry weather: the National Weather Service projected brisk winds, cold weather and a chance of showers this week through the region.
As a result of higher-than-average winds, the National Weather Service issued a Wind Hazard Advisory on Tuesday, Feb. 14 throughout Orange County, including in Dana Point.
The Wind Hazard Advisory affects the following Orange County towns: Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, San Clemente, Santa Ana, Anaheim, Garden Grove, Irvine, Orange, Fullerton and Mission Viejo.

Here's what residents can expect for weather this week:
On Monday night, the National Weather Service projected a 20 percent chance of rain across Orange County and nighttime temperatures in the low-'50s.

On Tuesday, residents can expect a chance of showers in the morning and winds up to 40 miles per hour by Tuesday afternoon. Through Tuesday night, residents can expect the brisk winds to continue.
By Wednesday, residents will likely experience wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour and cool temperatures in the high-'60s.
The strongest gusts will occur near the Orange County coast, the NWS said.
