Additional Sex-Assault Victims Sought After Arrest Of OC Man
The recently arrested, 36-year-old from Anaheim may be connected to unsolved crimes dating to 2018, authorities said.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — The Orange County Sheriff's Department is seeking possible victims of an OC man, arrested last week on sex-assault charges in Stanton and Long Beach, according to officials.
Sione Mounga Vea, 36, of Anaheim, was arrested and booked Jan. 9 into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of multiple felony sexual assault-related charges, kidnapping with sexual assault and assault with a deadly weapon, deputies said.
On Nov. 26, the suspect allegedly attempted to solicit sex from — and subsequently sexually assaulted — a 19-year-old female, after reportedly threatening and pointing a weapon at the victim, the department said.

The victim provided descriptions of the individual and his vehicle to law enforcement, according to the agency.
Detectives said the suspect also is linked to an unsolved sexual assault case in October 2022 in Stanton, as well as a sexual assault case from October 2018 in Long Beach.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims.
