Angels, Dodgers to Begin Two-Game Series at Angel Stadium
The game marks the first time since 2014 that the Angels have had a better record when they've faced the Dodgers.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — The Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels will meet for the first time in the 2023 regular season Tuesday evening at Angel Stadium in a matchup of two teams going in opposite directions.
The Dodgers (39-33) have lost 10 of their last 14 games to drop from a share of the National League West lead into third place, trailing the division-leading Arizona Diamondbacks by 4 1/2 games.
The Dodgers were swept by the San Francisco Giants in a three-game series that concluded Sunday that included a 15-0 loss Saturday -- their largest home shutout loss since a 15-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates Sept. 20, 1898, in the second incarnation of Washington Park in Brooklyn, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

The Giants' 29 runs were the most they scored in a three-game series at Dodger Stadium, which opened in 1962.

Clayton Kershaw (8-4) will pitch for the Dodgers, while fellow left- hander Reid Detmers (1-5) will start for the Angels.

The Dodgers have a six-game winning streak against the Angels, including a 4-0 record in 2022.

The 7:07 p.m. game will be televised by Bally Sports West and SportsNet LA.
The teams will meet again Wednesday at Angel Stadium, with Ohtani set to pitch. The teams will also face each other July 7-8 at Dodger Stadium.
