Brush Fire Breaks Out In San Clemente Monday: OCFA

The brush fire was reported just after 3 p.m. in the City of San Clemente, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — A brush fire was reported in San Clemente Monday afternoon, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.

The fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m. near Pico and Avenida La Pata in the City of San Clemente, firefighters said.

As of 3:20 p.m., the OCFA said the aggressive response allowed firefighters to stop forward progress of the flames as of 3:20 p.m., authorities said.

According to authorities, reported that a full vegetation fire response — including OCFA's augmented resources for the ongoing Red Flag event — are part of the fire attack.

The size of the fire was not immediately known.

No evacuations were issued, and no injuries were immediately reported.
