Here are the top stories in Orange County today:

  1. Thankfully, no one was home when a car crashed into an Orange residence on Wednesday afternoon. The car crashed through the wall of the home around 4:50 p.m. "on the 5500 block of Cajon Avenue in Buena Park," authorities said. Firefighters and paramedics treated the driver, who was already out of the car when they arrived. Specially trained firefighters had to stabilize the structure of the house. (Orange County Patch)
  2. Do you want to retire in Huntington Harbor? A recently listed 55+ Huntington Beach Mobile home is in "the only manufactured home community" in Huntington Beach. It's also one of the few mobile home residences "where residents own the land," according to the listing. The 1,180-square-foot home offers cathedral ceilings, a front porch to relax on, and staying cool on hot days with central air. Find out more here: (Orange County Patch)
  3. Illegal street racers allegedly "avoided paying thousands of dollars in citations" in Los Angeles and Orange Counties through an alleged ticket-fixing scam, according to CHP. Angel Zahid Sanchez-Peralta, 21, of Los Angeles, is accused of using "stamps with the names of current and retired CHP officers" that he sold for $300 each as "bogus proof" of fixed tickets so street racers wouldn't have to pay citations. Most of the violations were "to fix unlawful modifications of their cars," like making the engines louder. Twenty-seven other people were arrested in connection with the illegal ticket-fixing scheme.
