It's been a long time coming, but the House of Mouse in Anaheim is paying a bit more attention to its Disney Vacation Club members.

Opening April 19, the "Disney Vacation Club Star View Station – a Member Lounge" promises to be a sleek new space in the heart of Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park.

ANAHEIM, CA — Disneyland Resort is making magic for its Disney Vacation Club members, with a new private rest and relaxation room opening this spring at a Tomorrowland location. On Thursday, Disney Vacation Club announced the opening date of its first-ever Member Lounge at the Disneyland Resort in California.

Opening April 19, the "Disney Vacation Club Star View Station – a Member Lounge" promises to be a sleek new space in the heart of Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park. This is in conjunction with multiple new opportunities for DVC members in Southern California.

For years, the Disney Vacation Club sales force at the Disneyland Resort has touted the benefits of being a DVC member. Still, with few properties to choose from in Anaheim and no particular place to go at Disneyland Resort, such as there is at Epcot Center, the DVC membership has always skewed more friendly to the Florida traveler... until now.

Fast forward to spring of 2023 and the introduction of Disney Vacation Club Star View Station - a Member Lounge. The spot was briefly a "Magic Key" holder's lounge but has been transformed into a place for DVC Members only where you can hear those magical words: "Welcome home" and really feel it.

According to a spokesperson for the resort, the spot is inspired by Walt Disney's optimistic vision for the future.

"The lounge will sport a retro-inspired yet modern aesthetic featuring a variety of murals designed by Disney Legends such as Mary Blair, John Hench and Herbert Ryman," they said. "The lounge will also be home to historic Disney gems, such as the K7 Space Suit worn by the Tomorrowland Astronauts during the early years of Disneyland and the Space Station S-1 Model from the 'Disneyland' television series."

Members can enjoy several amenities, including a dedicated Disney Vacation Club Member Services team, comfortable seating, complimentary Wi-Fi, device-charging stations and complimentary soft drinks. The new lounge is available for eligible* Disney Vacation Club members with valid theme park tickets and reservations to Disneyland Park.

Unique member spaces have long been part of what Disney Vacation Club proudly calls "Membership Magic," according to the group.

These member-favorite locations include the Top of the World Lounge atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and the Member Lounge inside the iconic glass pyramid of the Imagination! Pavilion at EPCOT, both at Walt Disney World Resort.

This editor can attest to the Imagination! Pavilion at EPCOT is an ideal spot to reclaim the magic after being drained line-waiting throughout the park. Heat up for a special greeting, a snack and a soda, and you'll find yourself recharged and remembering why you footed the bill for that DVC membership in the first place.

Bill Diercksen, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Vacation Club, spoke on the addition in Anaheim.

"It is no secret that our members are at the heart of everything we do at Disney Vacation Club," Diercksen said. "With the overwhelming popularity of our member lounges in Walt Disney World Resort, we are thrilled to expand more Membership Magic experiences to our members and their families on the West Coast as we prepare to open our newest proposed resort, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel this fall."

The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will be the 16th Disney Vacation Club property and the newest tower at the Disneyland Hotel when it opens in September 2023, adding to the magic of your membership if you have a home base on the West coast.

This new resort promises to feature 344 themed accommodations, including duo studios, deluxe studios, one- and two-bedroom villas, and grand villas.

Each themed room will be inspired by creative storytelling and Disney history with contemporary designs and pixie dust sprinkled throughout, including unique touches from Walt Disney Animation Studios classics like "The Jungle Book," "Sleeping Beauty," "The Princess and the Frog," "Fantasia" and more.
