Hyperion Theater To Reopen With 'Rogers: The Musical' Premiere

ANAHEIM, CA — The Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure will reopen this summer with a performance seen only in part on "Hawkeye," Disneyland Resort announced over social media.

“Rogers: The Musical” is expected to open to audiences in late June, and will run approximately 30 minutes, from Tuesday through Saturday most weeks.

The Hyperion has not reopened since the pandemic. What was once home to "Frozen" will now featured the star-spangled performance depicting the beginnings of story of Steve Rogers and his journey to becoming Captain America. Rogers will be joined by Peggy Carter, Nick Fury and select members of the Avengers, according to a Disneyland spokesperson.

"The musical will take the audience on a journey from Steve’s humble beginnings during World War II to becoming Captain America, leading the Avengers and beyond," they said. "It’s a classic tale of heroes, time travel, romance, and Nick Fury sings."

The show will be super-powered by music, including “Save the City,” from the Disney+ series “Hawkeye”; “Star Spangled Man” from the film “Captain America: The First Avenger”; plus, five new original songs were written just for “Rogers: The Musical” at the Disneyland Resort.

Additional details including show dates and times, plus news about the merchandise and food and beverage offerings themed to “Rogers: The Musical” will be shared as opening day gets closer.
