Here are the top stories in Orange County today:

  1. Orange County approved a February "takeover" by the City of Laguna Beach, of several beaches, including lifeguard services. The move will allow the county to save on the expense of maintaining the beaches. With the money saved, the county can invest "in other park programs." The beaches that will be turned over the city include Aliso Beach, Camel Point Beach, Laguna Royale Beach, Table Rock Beach, Thousand Steps Beach and West Street Beach. (Orange County Patch)
  2. If you're looking for things to do in O.C. this week, the "Wonderful Winter of Oz: A Holiday Panto" will be performed at the Laguna Playhouse. This holiday show is based on the British tradition of pantomime, where "Dorothy is transported to the world of witches and munchkins by a blizzard, rather than a tornado, on Christmas Eve." The show will run from Dec. 7-13. (Orange Coast Magazine)
  3. Who doesn't love a quick and affordable breakfast burrito? Check out these four Orange County breakfast burrito spots: You can pick up a "massive" stuffed breakfast burrito at Troy's Drive-In in Orange with "breakfast sides." If you're in Fullerton, you have two great choices: Pepe’s Finest breakfast burritos near Cal State Fullerton, and George’s Burgers on W. Commonwealth Ave., where you'll find "hearty" breakfast burritos. In Santa Ana, stop by Nate’s Korner, where the focus is on sandwiches, but you'll also find Nate’s Favorite: "a burrito with egg whites, black beans, grilled onions, serrano peppers." Are you an Orange County resident looking for an investment alternative to the stock market? Consider fine art. Masterworks is the award-winning platform helping 575,000+ invest in works by the same world-renowned artists that are coveted by ultra-wealthy collectors and major museums alike (think Picasso, Basquiat, and Banksy.) Masterworks splits these multi-million dollar works into shares, so you can invest without breaking the bank.

Contemporary art has outpaced the stock market by a whopping 131% over the last 26 years. Seven of Masterworks’ eight sold paintings gave their investors a +17.8% net returns*.
