Man, 43, Admits To Shooting Person Outside OC Nightclub

A 43-year-old man pleaded guilty Tuesday and was sentenced to 22 years in prison for shooting a man outside a nightclub in Orange County.

ANAHEIM, CA — A 43-year-old man pleaded guilty Tuesday and was sentenced to 22 years in prison for shooting a man outside a nightclub in Anaheim, court records show.

Jorge Galvan Centeno admitted to charged of attempted murder and shooting at an inhabited dwelling and admitted sentencing enhancements for the personal use of a gun, inflicting great bodily injury on the victim, and discharge of a gun causing great bodily injuries, according to court records.

Centeno, listed in jail records as a store owner, was arrested in March 2023. He was credited with 1,012 days served, according to court documents.

The shooting happened around 4:10 a.m. on March 19, 2023, outside a nightclub in the 500 block of South Brookhurst Street, near Orange Avenue, according to police.

The victim was hospitalized in grave condition but survived, police said.
