Man Arrested In Orange County Stabbing Death

ORANGE, CA — A 20-year-old Tustin man was arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a man in unincorporated Orange, authorities said Saturday.

The stabbing occurred about 1:25 a.m. Friday in the area of Rancho Santiago Boulevard and Hewes Street, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Sergio Esquivel Sanchez, 24, of Orange died at a hospital after suffering a stab wound to his chest, sheriff's officials said.

Investigators determined that Melchor Aleszi was the suspect in Sanchez's death and he was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail for suspicion of homicide, according to the department.
