Man Arrested In San Diego After Leading Police On Chase Through OC
A man was taken into custody Thursday after leading authorities on a chase in a stolen van across three SoCal counties.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A man was taken into custody Thursday after leading authorities on a chase in a stolen van from the south Los Angeles area to Orange County and ultimately San Diego County.
The van was stolen about 8:15 a.m. in the 100 block of East Adams Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Some time afterward, authorities in Los Angeles County began chasing the van on the San Diego (405) Freeway.

The chase led onto the southbound 405 Freeway and was turned over to the California Highway Patrol. Officers followed the van on the southbound 405 Freeway into Orange County, and then onto the southbound 5 Freeway and into San Diego County.
The driver exited the 5 Freeway in the Carlsbad area, and he was taken into custody without further incident about 10:30 a.m. near College Boulevard and Faraday Avenue, according to the CHP.

The suspect's name was not immediately available for release.
