Man Found Shot To Death Behind Orange County Business

SANTA ANA, CA — A man was found shot to death Sunday behind a liquor store in Santa Ana.

Officers responded about 4:45 p.m. Sunday to a call of a man down behind the business at 4502 W. First St., at Newhope Street, according to a Santa Ana Police Department statement.

They found the man suffering from a single gunshot wound, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Orange County Fire Authority paramedics. His name was withheld pending family notification.

A possible motive was unclear, and no suspect information was available.
