Man Shot During Fight, Police Seek Leads In OC

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound during a fight in Garden Grove, authorities said Wednesday.

Officers were dispatched at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to the 13000 block of Allard Avenue near Haster Street, according to Garden Grove police Sgt. Ryan Lux.

"As officers arrived on scene, several subjects were seen physically fighting in the street," Lux said. "Several subjects were detained pending the investigation. One of the subjects detained appeared to have sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound."

Paramedics took the wounded man to a hospital for treatment, he said.

"The investigation is still ongoing and if anyone was a witness to the incident, please contact Garden Grove Police Dispatch at 714-741-5704," Lux said.
