New Video Shows FBI Removing Terrell Davis From Orange County Flight
A video shared by a passenger shows federal agents handcuffing the NFL star shortly after his flight landed at John Wayne Airport.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — New video shows the moment federal agents handcuffed NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis and escorted him off a United Airlines flight earlier this month at John Wayne Airport. According to Davis, the incident was a humiliating mistake, and the airline quickly issued a public apology.
Footage obtained by The Denver Post shows the view from another passenger's seat as an FBI agent leans over to handcuff Davis and walk him off the plane in front of onlookers. The former Denver Broncos star running back addressed the incident via Instagram on July 15.
The two-time Super Bowl champ said he was flying to Orange County from Denver with his wife, daughter, and two sons when he asked a flight attendant for a cup of ice during beverage service. He said the flight attendant either did not hear or ignored him, and he lightly tapped his arm to get his attention.

That's when, Davis said, the flight attendant shouted "don't hit me" and hurried to the front of the plane, leaving him and nearby passengers confused. When the flight landed, a half-dozen agents and law enforcement officers boarded the plane to remove him.
"I was — and remain — humiliated, embarrassed, powerless, and angry," Davis wrote on Instagram. "During questioning, it was rightfully determined by the agents that this flight attendant was inaccurate in his accusations and the agents profusely apologized, even offering to support me and my family in any way possible."

In an interview with CBS, Davis' Wife Tamiko said the incident was traumatizing for the whole family.
"As a mom, as a Black mom raising two Black sons, you work really hard to not have your children have those types of experiences," Davis said. "And we were simply going on vacation. This is something that we'll never get back."
United Airlines apologized to Davis shortly after the incident and said they had relieved the flight attendant from duty while they conducted a review. According to The Orange County Register, Davis' attorney said the family plans to file a lawsuit alleging false accusations and emotional distress.
