OC Man Charged With Child Sexual Assault, Spreading Child Porn

ORANGE, CA — A 28-year-old man caught in a child pornography sting was charged Wednesday with possessing hundreds of images of children and molesting a girl, starting when she was about 9-years-old, court records show.

Detectives working an online child porn sting encountered Cristian Enrique Restrepo, which led them to evidence he was having sex with an unnamed female victim, who he knows through a friend, according to authorities.

Restrepo was charged with seven felony counts of sexual assaults on a girl, who is now 11 years old, dating back to 2023, court records show.

He was also charged with possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, using an underage child for obscene matter and four counts of contacting a minor with the intent to commit a sexual offense, all felonies.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 6 in the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.
