Orange County Eateries Make Yelp's Top 100 List For 2022

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Three Orange County restaurants made it onto Yelp's annual list of the Top 100 Places to Eat in the United States.

The company named Fermentation Farm in Costa Mesa, The Vox Kitchen in Fountain Valley and Lido Bottle Works in Newport Beach as some of the top places to eat in the country for 2022.

Fermentation Farm made it to the number three spot on the list and focuses on "probiotic-rich and restoratives foods" that have been fermented, according to its website. Fermentation Farm is in Costa Mesa at 1125 Victoria St.

The Vox Kitchen took the number 11 spot on the list and focuses on Asian fusion dishes blending "Peruvian, Chinese, Vietnamese and Taiwanese influences," its website said. Vox Kitchen is in Fountain Valley at 16161 Brookhurst St.

Lido Bottle Works came in at number 58 on Yelp's list.

"At Lido Bottle Works, we believe people, food and drink should be 'Genuinely Good Together,' according to its website description. "Our unique dishes are prepared for our friends and family using local and sustainable ingredients perfectly paired with specialty craft beer, wine and cocktails."

Lido Bottle Works is in Newport Beach at 3408 Via Oporto, Suite 103.

To make it onto the list, Yelp asked its users which restaurants they were looking forward to eating at in 2022, the company said in a statement.

Yelp looked at the number of submissions a restaurant received, judging it against the number of reviews and ratings it has on the site as well as its "geographic representation" compared to top-rated restaurants across the country.

"Yelp further curated the list with the expertise of our Community Managers around the country to finalize the rankings," the company said.

The top five restaurants on Yelp's list of places to eat in the U.S. are:

• Cocina Madrigal in Phoenix, Ariz.
• Aracosia-McLean in McLean, Va.
• Fermentation Farm in Costa Mesa, Calif.
• Oriole in Chicago, Ill.
• Bird Bird Biscuit in Austin, Texas
