Orange County Man Wins $1.8M Playing Mega Millions
Billy Spurlock said he's going to have a nice Christmas this year.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA -- An Orange County won $1.8 million recently playing the lottery. Billy Spurlock of Costa Mesa purchased the winning lottery ticket at a local business, lottery officials announced last week.
“I’ve never won a thing in my life,” said Spurlock, who won a whopping $1,812,236. “It’ll be a nice nest egg, and it’ll make for a nice Christmas.”
Spurlock won big after matching five of six numbers in the Oct. 10 Mega Millions draw. He matched the numbers: 16, 7, 61, 62 and 24, missing only the Mega number 2.

Spurlock purchased his ticket at Costa Mesa Fuel at 393 East 17th street. The retailer will receive $9,061 for selling the ticket.
Mega Millions is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
