Orange County Restaurant Closures: Dec. 15 To Dec. 31: Coffee Shops, Smoothie Bars, Pizza Joints And More

Health inspectors suspended permits or closed these restaurants this week due to imminent health hazards.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — If you see a restaurant closed without explanation, they've probably had a visit from the Orange County Environmental Health Inspectors. Each week, inspectors visit restaurants in planned and unplanned visits, where they ensure restaurants are safe for customers and for workers.

Inspectors can close eateries or suspend permits after finding imminent health hazards inside the food facilities. "Each closure indicates a serious health hazard that requires immediate correction. If that correction is made, the restaurant can maintain its permit. If not, the restaurant may be shut down or have its permit suspended," according to an OC Health Care spokesperson.
