Pedestrian Struck, Killed On 5 Freeway: CHP

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking on the Interstate 5 Freeway near Anaheim, authorities said.

California Highway Patrol officers responded around 2:33 a.m. Thursday to the southbound freeway and Gene Autry Way.

Upon arrival, officers found a pedestrian near the right lane of the freeway, authorities said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP.

The victim's name, age and gender was not immediately known.
