RV Fire Snarls 91 Freeway Traffic In OC: SigAlert

The fire was reported at 12:41 p.m. Monday and triggered miles of dense traffic in the surrounding area, authorities said.

BUENA PARK, CA — An RV caught fire on the Artesia (91) Freeway, triggering a SigAlert and miles of dense traffic Monday afternoon, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 12:41 p.m. Monday on the westbound side of the freeway near Valley View Street in Buena Park, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fire broke out in a silver airstream RV, authorities said.

The incident resulted in miles of slow-moving traffic traveling westbound on the freeway, as well as a SigAlert.

Residents were urged to steer clear of the area while authorities assess and clear the scene.
