Shots Fired In Orange County Park; 3 Hospitalized, Deputies Say

Three men were injured in a public shooting at a Yorba Linda park Sunday, and one other victim was injured during the attack.

YORBA LINDA, CA — Three men were hospitalized after a public shooting in a Yorba Linda park Sunday, and one other victim was injured during the attack.

Deputies were dispatched to reports of a shooting around 2:40 p.m. Sunday in the Canyon RV Park at the Featherly Regional Park on East Santa Ana Canyon Road, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

Three victims, including the suspect, were taken to a hospital in unknown condition, according to the department.

Officials said they believe all the individuals knew each other and a dispute from a prior day led to the shooting.

The suspect drove to the park and attempted to run down the victims with his vehicle, injuring one. He then exited his vehicle and began shooting at the men before turning the gun toward himself, according to the department.

The victim hit by the vehicle was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
