Suspect Pleads Guilty To Santa Ana Stabbing
A 44-year-old was stabbed in the street over two years ago.
SANTA ANA, CA — A 27-year-old man pleaded guilty and has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for stabbing another man in Santa Ana two years ago, according to court records obtained Monday.
Alan Herbey Cadena-Parra stabbed the 44-year-old victim about 6:25 p.m. Feb. 25, 2021, in the 200 block of North Clara Street in Santa Ana, according to police.
Witnesses told police they saw two men running after the victim and summoned plainclothes detectives nearby for help, police said. The detectives radioed for uniformed officers, who were able to track down Cadena-Parra, police said.

The motive for the attack was not known.
Caedena-Parra accepted a plea bargain Friday from Orange County Superior Court Judge Scott Steiner, who gave the defendant 930 days credit for time served awaiting trial. Prosecutors objected to the sentence, according to court records.
