Where To Get Your Pozole Fix This Winter In Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Miguel’s Jr., the legendary restaurant serving up founder Mary Vasquez's authentic Mexican cuisine since 1973, is bringing back its seasonal favorite — pozole — along with a lineup of new, limited-time menu specials at locations throughout Orange County and the Inland Empire.

Dubbed as the chain's "chief recipe officer," Vasquez pledges her pozole "is full of flavor and spice, just like my mother used to make when I was a child growing up in Central Mexico.”

Offered through Feb. 27, the traditional, slow-simmered soup, with chile-based broth, hominy, choice of shredded chicken or chile verde pork and a side of cabbage and onions, is available as a 16-ounce bowl for $4.99 and by the quart for $9.39.

“It warms the soul and is the perfect comfort food to enjoy all winter long," Vasquez said. "It's no wonder why our guests have been asking about the return of our pozole since the temperatures started dropping.”

Also on Miguel’s Jr.’s new menu are “Double Up” deals — a changing rotation of two traditional or soft tacos for $5.69, two orders of taquitos for $10, two bean, rice & cheese burritos for $6.59 or two original burritos for $10.

Miguel’s Jr.’s items are available for dine-in, take-out, drive-thru and online ordering daily from open to close.
