11 Cats Rescued In SMC After Firefighters Battle Blaze: Cal Fire
Firefighters extinguished a the flames but then the search began for the missing cats.
HALF MOON BAY, CA — After battling a house fire early Tuesday morning in Half Moon Bay, firefighters were then given the task of rescuing nearly a dozen cats, officials said.
At around 4:30 a.m., fire crews responded to a house fire in Half Moon Bay. They quickly extinguished the blaze, "but the real adventure began after the smoke," Cal Fire officials said.

The homeowner asked the firefighters to help find her 11 missing cats.

"It took some serious searching, but thanks to their amazing efforts, all 11 were found and safely reunited," Cal Fire officials said.
