Body Found In Pacifica Identified As Missing 84-Year-Old Woman

PACIFICA, CA — A body found last month near Pedro Point in Pacifica was identified by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office Monday as 84-year-old Jean Fung, who was reported missing on May 28 after leaving her home in San Francisco.

Fung’s body was found on June 10 washed ashore and police said it had been in the water for “quite some time,” but were unable to identify Fung at the time.

Fung left her Richmond District home for a walk on May 28 and did not return, according to the San Francisco Police Department. She was considered to be at-risk due to her age and possible medical conditions .

No further details were immediately available about Fung’s death.
