Fire Breaks Out At Daly City Apartment Complex

Six fire companies, two battalion chiefs and two investigators responded to the blaze.

DALY CITY, CA — A one-alarm fire at a Lake Merced Boulevard apartment building Wednesday left one unit seriously damaged, North County Fire Protection Services officers said.

Six fire companies, two battalion chiefs and two investigators responded at about noon to a two-story apartment building in the 200 block of Lake Merced Boulevard on the north edge of Daly City, fire officials said. Smoke was coming from the building.A second-story unit sustained moderate fire damage and heavy smoke damage.

Firefighters were on scene for about 90 minutes, and no one was injured, firefighters said.The cause of the fire has not been determined, and the North County Fire Protection Services is investigating.
