Highway 92 Closed In Half Moon Bay Due To Downed Power Pole

Authorities anticipate that the road will remain closed for 60 to 90 minutes, or more.

HALF MOON BAY, CA — Authorities in Half Moon Bay have closed Highway 92 due to a collision between a vehicle and a PG&E power pole, the a spokesperson from the San Mateo Sheriff's Office confirmed on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The collision left the pole lying across the highway and occurred in the 500 block of Hwy 92 near the Main Street intersection, police said. Out of caution, the entire highway has been closed to traffic, the spokesperson said.

Authorities anticipate that the road will remain closed for 60 to 90 minutes, or more.
Drivers and residents are encouraged to avoid the area and consider alternative routes if possible.
