Man Trafficking SMC Woman Arrested In Sting Operation: Police

Officers conducted an operation aimed at uncovering human trafficking, police said.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Police said they arrested a 34-year-old man Thursday after they found a 30-year-old woman he was trafficking inside a hotel room in South San Francisco.

On Thursday, South San Francisco Police Department officers said they conducted an operation to prevent human trafficking where they contacted multiple victims and offered resources.

Police said, during one of those contacts, they found a 30-year-old woman inside a hotel room on the 300 block of South Airport Boulevard.

Officers said they also found a 34-year-old man from Pittsburg they believed was trafficking the woman. Police said they arrested the man and found a gun on him as well.

He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail.

Police said they provided the woman support and resources from the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office Victim Services Division.
