Hiker Airlifted From Will Rogers State Park After Getting Lost

Both the hiker and the firefighters who found him were hoisted out due to the area's steep terrain.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A 60 year-old hiker was hoisted out of Will Rogers State Park by the Los Angeles Fire Department after getting lost in a remote area of the park.

The man was found around 6:54 p.m. at Will Rogers State Park. Both he and the firefighters who located him were hoisted onto a helicopter due to the steep terrain in the area he was found.

The hiker reported no injuries, but firefighter-paramedics performed a medical check once he was brought to safety.
