PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A long-in-the-works plan to create a dog park in Pacific Palisades moved forward this month as city parks officials plan to apply for $1.5 million in funding for the project. The Board of Recreation and Park Commissioners on Jan. 18 voted to apply for a grant under Measure A, the county program that funds parks projects. City officials plan to create an off-leash dog park at Temescal Canyon Park. The project is set to include new fences, concrete paths, an entry plaza, landscaping, a shade structure, hydration station, benches, trash receptacles and dog agility equipment, according to city documents. Officials have not indicated a timeline for the project's completion.
