PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — The Riviera Country Club is donating $1 million to fire-recovery efforts in Pacific Palisades, the club announced Thursday.

The Pacific Palisades country club's donation will benefit the California Community Foundation in support of the Pacific Palisades Community Council, and the CD11 Foundation to support restoration of public spaces, according to the announcement.

Left largely unscathed by the Palisades Fire, the club is the annual home of Tiger Woods' Genesis Invitational golf tournament. This year's tournament was moved from Riviera to Torrey Pines in San Diego due to the fire.

"The Pacific Palisades neighborhood and (Los Angeles City Council) District 11 is very important to our club and our membership," Riviera Country Club CEO Megan Watanabe said in a statement. "Our focus now is to support rebuilding the Palisades community and help Councilwoman Traci Park in this very important time of need.

"Our members and partners have reached out to us asking how they can help in the recovery efforts, and we have informed them of our donation efforts and welcomed them to support these two foundations by contributing to the fund we have set up with the California Community Foundation."
