Water and Power: Should Guzzlers Be Shielded?
With the drought impacting water resources, some public agencies are no longer keeping private the names of the biggest offenders.
The top residential water consumers in Los Angeles may become subject to public naming, according to the Los Angeles Times, which reports that the Department of Water and Power in LA is considering changing its policy of not releasing those names.
Now that water conservation has taken on epic proportions many agencies are beginning to name their biggest water guzzling consumers. The East Bay Municipal Utility District in the San Francisco Bay area recently outed Oakland Athletics executive Billy Beane for his excessive water use.
