1 Injured After Car, Semi-Truck Crash In Indio

INDIO, CA -- One person was injured Sunday morning in Indio after a car and semi-truck collided, forcing firefighters to extricate the victim from the vehicle. The incident was reported at 10:50 a.m. on Interstate 10, east of Dillon Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital by air ambulance for serious injuries, officials said.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
