1 Killed, 2 Injured In Single-Vehicle Crash In Coachella

One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Coachella and two others were injured, authorities said.

COACHELLA, CA — One person was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in Coachella and two others were injured, the Riverside County Fire Department announced.

The crash was reported at 12:25 p.m. Saturday in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10, just east of the Dillon Road off-ramp.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another person was rushed to a hospital by air ambulance after suffering serious injuries, according to the fire department. A third person with minor injuries was rushed to a hospital by ground ambulance.

The California Highway Patrol assumed the investigation.
