1 Rescued From Remote Area In Palm Desert
A California Highway Patrol helicopter hoisted the person to a nearby landing zone, where an ambulance was waiting.
PALM DESERT, CA — A person was rescued from an inaccessible area in Palm Desert Sunday.
Firefighters responded to the 47900 block of Portola Avenue, south of Highway 111, around 11:25 a.m. Sunday to a report of an inaccessible rescue, the Riverside County Fire Department announced.
A California Highway Patrol helicopter hoisted the person to a nearby landing zone, where an ambulance was waiting. The person was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
