14 People Displaced By 3 Separate Fires In Palm Desert, Indio
The blazes occurred over a 24-hour period and were not related.
COACHELLA VALLEY, CA — Three fires burned over a 24-hour period in the Coachella Valley this week, displacing 14 people, including seven children, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The most recent blaze was reported Tuesday morning at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday in Indio's Monte Azul Apartments in the 82000 block of Dr. Carreon Boulevard.
One apartment was fully involved in flames as firefighters arrived on the scene.

"(The) American Red Cross was requested to assist two apartment units with families displaced by the fire," fire officials wrote in a statement at 6:34 a.m. "The first unit has one adult and three children and the second unit has two adults."
By 8:30 a.m., the fire was contained to the center unit and there was smoke damage to five attached units, according to fire officials. No injuries were reported.

At 6:35 p.m. Monday night, firefighters were called to the 44000 block of San Luis Dr. in Palm Desert.
When they arrived, they found a single-story, single-family dwelling with light smoke showing from the garage, according to the fire department.
"The fire was contained to the garage of the residence at 6:52 p.m. and the incident has been terminated. All fire resources are clearing the scene," the department reported about two hours later.
The American Red Cross was requested to assist two adults and three children displaced by the blaze.
Two adults, a child and a pet were also displaced Monday due to an attic fire in a multifamily dwelling in Indio.
Firefighters responded at 7:08 a.m. Monday to the 82800 block of Davis Drive to a report of a fire, according to the fire department.
By 7:22 a.m., the blaze was contained to the attic and the American Red Cross responded to assist two adults, a child and a pet who were displaced.
The Imperial Irrigation District and Southern California Gas Company were requested to the scene, according to fire officials.
No injuries were reported in any of the fires. The causes of the blazes were under investigation.
