18-Year-Old Man Shot In Indio

INDIO, CA — An 18-year-old man was shot Monday in Indio, and a search was underway for a suspect.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting shortly before 2:50 p.m. Monday in the area of Avenue 44 and King Street, according to the Indio Police Department.
They found evidence at the scene that a shooting had occurred and later learned that an 18-year-old man was dropped off by a family member at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio, and the victim had non-life threatening injuries "consistent with being shot," police said.
