2 Arrested On Drunken Driving Charges In Coachella Valley
Two people are in custody Monday for allegedly driving under the influence in the Coachella Valley area.

PALM DESERT, CA -- Two people are in custody Monday for allegedly driving under the influence in the Coachella Valley area. The first arrest happened when Palm Desert police officers responded to a call of a collision at 7:50 p.m. Sunday in the area of Mesa View and Summit View drives.
Officers found Miles Kennedy, 27, of Mountain Center, who allegedly veered off the roadway while riding his motorcycle before crashing into the curb, police said.
Kennedy sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision and allegedly showed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. Kennedy was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol, and was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio, police said.

The second arrest happened when Rancho Mirage police officers responded to a call of a single-vehicle crash at 1:46 a.m. at Highway 111 and Paxton Drive.
Police said Matthew Casarez, 23 of Palm Springs, was driving a green sedan eastbound on Highway 111 when he veered off of the road and collided with a curb.

Casarez did not sustain injuries as a result of the collision, but during the investigation it was determined that he showed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Casarez was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol, and was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio, police said.
