93-Year-Old Woman Killed In Palm Springs Crash
The crash was reported at the intersection of South El Cielo Road and Kirk Douglas Way.
PALM SPRINGS, CA — An investigation was continuing Monday into a two-vehicle collision in Palm Springs that killed a 93-year-old woman.
The crash occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of South El Cielo Road and Kirk Douglas Way, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
A white Mazda was being driven northbound at South El Cielo Road when a gray Honda traveling south attempted to "make an eastbound left turn and entered the path of the Mazda," police said.

The Honda driver, identified only as a 93-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital, where she later died. The woman's name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The Mazda driver cooperated with investigators at the scene.

Drugs and/or alcohol did not appear to be contributing factors in the collision, the department said.
