RivCo American Idol Contestant Abi Carter Gets Ready For Hollywood

INDIO, CA — The city of Indio will host a send-off concert and fundraiser Saturday for "American Idol" contestant Abi Carter before she embarks to compete on the show, and VIP event tickets are available Thursday online.

"We are incredibly proud of Abi's accomplishments and thrilled to show our unwavering support as she represents the city of Indio on the national stage," Mayor Lupe Ramos Amith said in a statement.

Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. with an exclusive VIP meet-and-greet featuring limited edition merchandise at Little Street Music Hall, 82707 Miles Ave., according to the city. Tickets for the VIP event are available for $100 at eventbrite.com.

The concert, which will be free and open to the public, will start at 6 p.m. on Towne Street and Bliss Avenue, city officials said. Carter's debut performance of her first single will feature food trucks and community spirit.

"This send-off concert is not only a celebration of Abi's talent but also a testament to the spirit of community and camaraderie that defines our city," Ramos Amith said. "We invite everyone to come together to uplift and champion one of our own."
