Attempted Murder Investigation Opens Following Gunfire In Palm Springs
The shooting was reported near the 1500 block of San Rafael Drive.
PALM SPRINGS, CA — Palm Springs police opened an attempted murder investigation Tuesday after officers found evidence of gunfire, authorities said.
Officers "responded to a shooting" near the 1500 block of San Rafael Drive at approximately midnight Tuesday, according to the Palm Springs Police Department. The statement did not specify how the officers were notified.
Two people were found with "serious injuries," both of whom were in stable condition, according to the statement, which asserted that a third person was also present but not injured.

An investigation led to the discovery of "evidence at the scene [indicating] multiple shots were fired by the suspect(s)," according to police.
Officers also said that a residence in the area was struck by shots, but nobody inside was harmed.
