BGC Coachella Valley Celebrates 35th Grand Auction Anniversary

Boys & Girls Club Of Coachella Valley: Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley (BGCofCV) will be celebrating their 35th Anniversary of the Grand Auction on March 11, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa. The 2017 Auction’s theme invites supporters to “Imagine…” the wonderful possibilities and educational opportunities that the youth of the Valley can experience when the community comes together and invests in the lives of children.

Supporting the five clubhouses of Coachella Valley, the Grand Auction draws hundreds of supporters and donors annually. This year’s fundraising gala will honor the Bozick Family, who has made a significant impact throughout the years in their support of BGCofCV. Considered to be “Champions of Youth,” the Bozick Family will be recognized for their service in the Coachella Valley.

This year’s Grand Auction features a new element—the Giving Tree. With the recent remodeling of the clubhouse in Indio, the Giving Tree offers a fruitful way for donors to furnish the needs of this newly renovated clubhouse.

“The heart of our mission is simple: we exist to save and enhance the lives of the young people in the Coachella Valley by offering them a safe haven and meaningful development programs provided by a caring and qualified staff. We are successfully able to accomplish this with the help and generosity of our benefactors. With their support, BGCofCV is able to make a positive impact on our community,” notes Foundation CEO, Jim Ducatte.

The event will kick off with a silent auction at 5:00 p.m., accompanied by cocktails and hors d’oeurves. Dinner and live auction will follow at 6:30 p.m. The event will also feature Brian Harnik as the emcee and the music and entertainment of Heatwave Jazz & Show Band, comprised of Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley’s own Clubhouse alumni.

The five BGCofCV clubhouses are composed of Indio, La Quinta, Coachella, Mecca, and Desert Hot Springs. Serving over 7,800 young people in the Coachella Valley, BGCofCV plays a critical part in providing tools to build successful and significant lives.
