Body Found At Coachella Ranch, Death Investigation Underway

COACHELLA, CA — A death investigation was underway Tuesday following the discovery of a body at a Coachella ranch.

The discovery was first reported to sheriff's deputies at 12:31 p.m. The property is located in the 83000 block of 51st Avenue.

Information about the victim was unavailable, and it's unclear whether homicide is suspected. Investigators were still working the scene Tuesday afternoon.

Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez provided a brief emailed statement: "On November 19, 2024, at 12:31 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 83000 block of Avenue 51 in Coachella in response to a report of a deceased body," she wrote. "Deputies are currently on scene conducting a death investigation. There are no further details available at this time."
