Budweiser Clydesdales Return To El Paseo In Palm Desert

The eight-horse hitch and a red Budweiser beer wagon will proceed down El Paseo on Wednesday afternoon.

PALM DESERT, CA — El Paseo Shopping District in Palm Desert is once again welcoming the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales.

The legendary horses will make an appearance on Wednesday, April 23. The draft equines will be unloaded and hitched on the frontage road parallel to Highway 74, behind the Daily Grill, beginning at 2 p.m.

The eight-horse hitch and a red Budweiser beer wagon will then proceed to their route, heading east down El Paseo at 3 p.m. (SEE ROUTE BELOW.) The team will be accompanied by the Dalmatian “coach dog,” bred and trained to protect the regal horses and guard the beer wagon, according to event organizers.

The Clydesdale-drawn wagon will make special beer deliveries to select restaurants along the avenue before their arrival at this weekend's sold-out Stagecoach country music festival in Indio.

The El Paseo event is free to attend and open to the public. Fans can watch along the route or partake in lunch at one of the many restaurant patios on either side of El Paseo.
