Burglary Suspect Arrested In Palm Desert
A Coachella woman was behind bars on suspicion of felony burglary from a Palm Desert home in early August.

PALM DESERT, CA — Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station Deputies have arrested a woman suspected of burglarizing a Palm Desert home on Tuesday, August 5, the department announced.
Samantha Gomez, a 24-year-old resident of Coachella, was located on Thursday and arrested in connection with the crime. She was being held on pending charges of felony burglary in the first degree at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio. She was awaiting a Sept. 3 court date at the Indio Larson Justice Center, with a $35,000 bail.
This week, sheriff's deputies located Gomez around 6 p.m. in the area of Interstate 10 and Washington Street in Palm Desert. Members of the city of Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team assisted with the arrest, Sgt. James Mills said.

Palm Desert Sheriff's Station deputies arrived at a home about 6 p.m. on Aug. 5 on reports of a residential burglary. Palm Desert Sheriff's Station's Robbery and Burglary Suppression Team investigators found a woman, believed to be Gomez, inside the home at the time of the burglary. It was not immediately clear how she fled the scene, or if any others were involved in the crime.
"Through continued investigation, Gomez was identified as a suspect for her involvement in the burglary," Mills said.
