Car Crash Temporarily Cuts Power To Customers In Thermal
The utility provides electricity to more than 150,000 customers in parts of Riverside and San Diego counties.
THERMAL, CA — An outage left approximately 25 Imperial Irrigation District customers in Thermal without power for more than three hours Thursday after a car struck a utility pole, officials said.
The utility alerted the public at 9:30 a.m. Thursday that an outage was affecting the area and that a troubleshooter was on-site.
A follow-up statement released shortly before 1 p.m. indicated that power had been restored.
