Chamber's Tribute Concerts For February: Abba, Bon Jovi To Johnny Cash

Coachella Valley is coming out to Palm Springs midweek during the concert series, to celebrate retro-sounds of the 70s and 80s.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce will continue its third season of free concerts next week with a joint tribute to Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley.

The performance, touted as "Cash, The Killer, and the King," will get underway at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Palm Springs Downtown Park at the intersection of Museum Drive and Belardo Road.

The chamber free concert series will continue on the first Wednesday of each month until May 1. The season began Dec. 6 with Kenny Cetera's Chicago Experience and continued with Tina Turner in January.

Other acts scheduled throughout the series are tributes to Abba, Garth Brooks and Bon Jovi.

"Our goal is to bring visitors and residents from throughout the Coachella Valley to downtown Palm Springs during the middle of the week so as to provide a boost to our local bars, restaurants and retail businesses," Chamber CEO Nona Watson said in a statement introducing the series.
